Flight Summary
The Hex runs 5/5/-1/1 — a straight-stable midrange with a touch more glide than most in the class. At full power it drifts slightly understable off a flat release, but that 1 fade keeps it from flipping and burning; lower arm speeds get just enough turn to shape gentle turnovers. It holds hyzer, flat lasers, and anhyzer lines equally well, which is why it lands as a point-and-shoot mid rather than a specialty tool. It's a shade faster and longer than a Z Buzzz, closer in feel to Axiom's own Reactor but a notch less stable.
What to Expect
Throw it flat at controlled to full power for the truest results, and give it a slight hyzer if you want it to flatten out and run. In the air it's shallow and stable, resisting torque and holding whatever line you commit to without surprising you. It finishes with a gentle fade and a flat, predictable skip-free landing.
Brand Context
Axiom Discs launched in January 2014 as the colorful sister brand to MVP Disc Sports, founded by Michigan brothers Brad and Chad Richardson. The idea grew out of MVP's Eclipse glow line, where players kept buying discs purely for the vibrant overmold colors. So the Richardsons branched off from MVP's signature black rim to deliver those vivid color combos at a normal price point. Same engineering brains behind the wheel, different aesthetic mission.
