Midrange
The Pyro runs 5/4/0/2. 5 — Axiom's first overstable midrange, sitting a hair less beefy than the Deflector but with noticeably more glide. Thrown flat with power it holds a straight laser before a dependable, forward-pushing fade; put it on anhyzer and the 0 turn flexes out every time without burning over. It wants power to sing, so bigger arms get the most predictable line out of it, and the beadless rim makes it a favorite torque-proof flick option.
Throw it flat with real power for the cleanest, most consistent line. It holds straight through the mid-flight, shrugs off torque and wind, then leans into its stable finish right on schedule. Expect a strong, predictable fade that skips forward and sticks close to target.
Axiom Discs launched in January 2014 as the colorful sister brand to MVP Disc Sports, founded by Michigan brothers Brad and Chad Richardson. The idea grew out of MVP's Eclipse glow line, where players kept buying discs purely for the vibrant overmold colors. So the Richardsons branched off from MVP's signature black rim to deliver those vivid color combos at a normal price point. Same engineering brains behind the wheel, different aesthetic mission.
