Flight Summary

The Time-Lapse is MVP's first 12-speed driver, retooled to flight numbers of 12 | 5 | -1 | 2 after the original run drew criticism for being too beefy and short. Big arms get flight-extending high-speed turn before a controllable, dependable fade, while moderate arms see a more straight-to-overstable shape. The 22mm rim and gentle dome are tuned for backhand bombs, though the original run earns a wind-fighter reputation that the retool softened into a workhorse distance line.

What to Expect

A full backhand rip will require serious arm speed to unlock the high-speed turn characteristics. In the air, you'll see flight-extending turn in the midphase before the fade engages to bring it home. It lands with a descending angle and predictable finishing fade, making it trustworthy even for moderate-power throwers.

Brand Context

Axiom Discs launched in January 2014 as the colorful sister brand to MVP Disc Sports, founded by Michigan brothers Brad and Chad Richardson. The idea grew out of MVP's Eclipse glow line, where players kept buying discs purely for the vibrant overmold colors. So the Richardsons branched off from MVP's signature black rim to deliver those vivid color combos at a normal price point. Same engineering brains behind the wheel, different aesthetic mission.
